ADHD & Autism Assessment Referrals (NHS Right to Choose)

If you would like to be assessed for suspected ADHD or Autism, you may be eligible to access an NHS assessment through the NHS Right to Choose pathway.

There are a number of NHS Right to Choose providers available. You are free to choose your preferred provider.

One example provider is Psicon, which explains the referral process and whether a GP referral or self-referral is required

You may choose any suitable NHS Right to Choose provider.

Before contacting the practice, please:

1. Choose your preferred NHS Right to Choose provider. 
2. Visit your chosen provider's website and carefully read their referral requirements. 
3. Complete any patient questionnaires or forms required by the provider. 
4. Check whether your chosen provider accepts self-referrals. If they do, we encourage you to self-refer where appropriate. 
5. If your provider requires a GP referral, please submit an Accurx Admin Request to the practice including: 

• The name of your chosen provider. 
• Any completed questionnaires or referral forms required by that provider. 
• Confirmation that you wish to be referred under the NHS Right to Choose pathway. 

Your GP will then review your request and, where appropriate, complete the referral.
